On our way there, we bumped into the American Gothic statue. Grant Wood's American Gothic painting is housed at the Art Institute of Chicago.
There were gorgeous tulips all throughout Magnificent Mile and Millennium Park.

Here's one of my favorites...Georges Seurat's A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte. This piece took 2 years to complete and was done with dots of paint, known as pointillism...
I was fascinated with Gerhard Richter's, Woman Descending the Staircase. The silver-blue brushwork on this photo painting is freakin' amazing!

That's it for the Chicago blog. We spent the rest of the trip eating and watching the Lakers :).
We are planning to take another vacation in August before work gets even crazier for both Dex and I.
