Museum of Making Music

We live 2 miles away from the Museum of Making Music and after almost 4 years of living in Carlsbad, we finally dropped by! It's a pretty cool museum with awesome musical instruments from the 1890s to present.  There were audio samples in each section which Noah loved!

The Art of the Stompbox Exhibition ...lots of awesome art decorated pedals (from the 1940s to present).

Steinway's autograph on the Art Case Grand Piano below
Steinway Art Case Grand Piano (1905)...beautiful!

Phonograph
many different types of guitars...
double neck electric Hawaiian guitar
The Beatles!

Checkin' out some old videos on the vintage television
He loved playing all of the different songs/instrument sounds
more from the stompbox collection
There's also an interactive area where you can make your own music.  They have a ton of instruments that come equipped with a pair of headphones so you can play privately!  Unfortunately, the room was packed and Noah was intimated, so we didn't get to hang out in there.

The museum is fairly small...but if you love music, you should definitely check it out!
